Moving Already!
This was just a temporary blog I created until I could build a new one. Here's the new one!

Come see me over there (because this place is going to be a ghost town)!

Sweet Wee One
This is the sweetest, smiliest baby you'll ever meet. When I showed Mr. Wright (the husband) these photos he said, "Did he smile like that the whole time?" And I said, "Yes."
It was amazing to have such a little fellow just sit and smile (and laugh) at me for two hours. There was no fussing, no crying, no trying to crawl away from me. He was the epitome of happiness.
If you're not smiling while you look at these...then you either need a hug, or you're blindfolded!
Sweet sweetie. I just wanna squeeze him.

Miss 'K'
If I didn't love families and babies so much I think that I might have to stick to teens. They're just so dang fun to work with! Especially after they shake off their awkwardness and start giving me some sass. Everyone gets the awkwards, and EVERYONE has sass. They just emanate it at different levels.
Channel the sass, people.
This girl is a force to be reckoned with - or so her mother tells me. She's a sass channeler if I ever saw one...I think her parents are getting it on every channel. But look at those eyes! Gorgeous!

S Girls
I've known these two little girlies since before they were born.
I used to watch my friend's belly in horror as the little aliens inside squirmed and rolled
around in there (this was obviously before I had my own kids).
They really are turning out quite nicely - and I think you can see what beautiful women they're going to be someday. Aside from a few normal sibling "Stop touching me"s, they did fantastic.

Here Goes Nothin'
I got my first nice camera about eight years ago. It used film. Someday when I tell that to my kids they'll ask me to sit down lest my ancient dinosaur bones break while I stand. My grandkids probably won't believe it.
About a year ago my husband bought me a really nice camera. It's digital. My children started crying and hiding from me when they saw the lens cap come off. Recently I bought myself an even nicer second camera. Now I have to take pictures of other people.
There is so much to learn! I'm excited and nervous about the possibilities - but I hope to look back on this post a year from now and see that I've grown and that my creative skills have expanded.
I never imagined that I would be a photographer, or that I would learn how to use Photoshop. All those buttons are frightening! I couldn't have known that I'd stay up late at night watching nerdy videos and tutorials. I certainly didn't think that I'd make a career out of taking other people's pictures. But honestly, the idea of capturing someone's best self, or the perfect shot of the one they love most is exhilarating. I feel like I can do a job and give a gift all at once. How much better does it get than that?
